Boat Race Week:

The Shootout Boat Race has a pre-race event:  Shootout Poly Lift Poker Run

On Friday, prior to race day, is the Poly Lift Poker Run.  The event registration is at Captain Ron’s from 9-10 a.m. Mandatory Driver’s Meeting at 10 a.m.  Stops Include: Big Dick’s Halfway Inn, Red Fox, Patriot’s Point, Larry’s on the lake, Nautifish Rum Bar, The Cave, Waves & Wheels Boardwalk, Landshark Bar & Grill, Paradise, Franky & Louie’s, Neon Taco.  The price includes breakfast coupon, poker hand & t-shirts for Captain and first mate.  For more specifics see.  The Lake of the Ozarks Shootout Poker Run.

The Shootout Boat Races brings in power boaters from around the world to compete in this one-of-a-kind event.   The proceeds from the race and from Captain Ron’s is donated to local charities, including the Make-a-Wish Foundation, with over $3M raised to date.  The races are actually on Saturday and Sunday, August 24th and 25th.  2024 will be the 36th Annual Shootout race.
