Winter Fun With Kids:
Having fun with family and friends is a great experience. Old Kinderhook has made a beautiful ice skating rink for everyone to enjoy. It opens on Thanksgiving day from 3pm to 10pm. The regular schedule is from 5pm to 10pm on Monday to Friday, and from 1pm to 10pm on Saturday and Sunday. I want to thank Old Kinderhook for organizing a fun winter outing for the whole family.
Make sure you don’t miss this outing that is both hilarious and affordable. The price for a skating session is $10, and the cost to rent ice skates is also $10.
[Read Event Details]The Enchanted Village of Lights is located in Laurie, Missouri. It’s an amazing display that captures the joy and spirit of Christmas. If you haven’t seen these lights yet, you’re missing out. This 27-acre light show has over 250 displays. Every year, we are treated to this beautiful display of lights and holiday cheer. It’s the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit. And the best part? You don’t even have to leave your vehicle, so it’s comfortable and cozy.
The lights are open from Friday, November 17, 2023, until December 31, 2023. On Sundays through Thursdays, they are open from 5 pm to 9 pm. They are open from 5 pm to 10 pm on Fridays and Saturdays. They are also open on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas night. The Enchanted Village of Lights is about 10-15 minutes away from Lake Breeze Resort, just up Highway 5.
[Read Event Details]The Festival of Lights at the Shrine of St. Patrick, located on Hwy 5 in Laurie, is the oldest light park in the area. It started in 1981 with hundreds of lights on the buildings and grounds, and it has grown every year since then. The Festival of Lights has become one of the most popular places to visit. Using over 4,000 strings of lights, Jesus and His Mother, Mary, represent the true meaning of Christmas.
The St. Patrick Festival of Lights is open daily from 5 to 10 p.m. starting from Thanksgiving through January 7th. On Fridays, from 6 to 8 p.m. Starting on December 1st, there will be hot cocoa and candy canes for everyone. There is no charge for this beautiful light display – it is St. Patrick’s gift to the community. On December 10th, from 4 to 8 p.m., there will be a live nativity called “O Holy Night.” There will also be refreshments, carolers, St. Nicholas, and a bonfire. Noah, the camel from Sunrise Safari, will make a special appearance at the live nativity.

Ameren Missouri will host the 25th annual Lake of the Ozarks Eagle Days at the Lake on Saturday, January 6, 2024. The first live eagle program held in 1999 attracted 651 participants. Today approximately 1,500 – 2,000 people attend each day of the event. Bring your binoculars.

The Big Bass Bash is a big bass fishing tournament. It happens at Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri and Grand Lake in Oklahoma. The tournament is for weekend anglers to win cash prizes. In 2023, the prize was $100,000 and there were over $330,000 in cash and prizes. Come and have fun at the Big Bass Bash. You might catch the bass of a lifetime! Many of the race boats, their rigs, matching cars, etc., are on display. Walk up and down the strip and view up close the seating, the motors, the fantastic paint jobs on these race boats. This is a do not miss event and is typically on the Wednesday night before the races. This year August 21st, 2024.
